Alice Saltzman earned a bachelor's and master's in Social Work, then became a CSW and practiced psychotherapy until the later ‘90s, while also teaching medical students in several NYC teaching hospitals. She then opened a cafe for four years before leaving NY.
Alice has been practicing yoga for more than 30 years and became a yoga teacher in 2004. She received her 200 RYT certification at the Kripalu School of Yoga and Health. She began teaching full-time in several yoga studios and country clubs, as well as working with actors, artists, and employees of local businesses as part of their wellness plans.
While teaching full-time, Alice became inspired to go further with her training and began studying with JJ Gormley-Etchells in 2006. She continued her education by traveling with JJ, completing her 500 ERYT certification in 2009 at Surya Chandra Healing Yoga School. Alice also studies yoga philosophy with Philip Christodoulou at Anuttara Yoga Shala.
Alice Saltzman studies and teaches yoga philosophy and mythology through storytelling. She is a Certified Functional Nutrition Counselor, Board Certified Holistic Health Practitioner, and a Board Certified Functional Health Coach.
Alice is also an actress, a 500 Hr. ERYT (as of 2017) and a licensed CSW. She sees clients in person and via Zoom to help them heal. As a CFNC, she coaches and educates clients on how to eat healthy, explore herbs, vitamin and minerals and clean up their diets. She teaches yoga philosophy, yoga history, and yoga asana classes full-time. Alice speaks publicly, facilitates workshops, and teaches All types of cooking classes and specializes vegan cooking.
